Nee. De temperatuur in je huis moet boven een bepaalde temperatuur zijn voordat je jouw woning kunt koelen. Lees hiervoor je leveringsovereenkomst.
Verkoeling via je vloer werkt anders dan een airco. Een airco koelt de lucht snel en direct. Je vloer doet dat langzamer en zachter. Dit werkt zo: er stroomt koud water door de buizen in je vloer. Daardoor wordt je huis koeler. Je huis wordt maximaal 3 graden koeler dan de temperatuur buiten. En het duurt even voordat je de verkoeling voelt nadat je hem hebt aangezet.
Do you use heating from Vaanster? Then you can probably use cooling as well. When outdoor temperatures rise, the system usually switches automatically from heating to cooling. In some cases, you may need to activate the cooling function yourself. Make sure to set your thermostat lower than the current indoor temperature otherwise the cooling will not start. Each year we send you an email explaining exactly when the system switches over and what you may need to do yourself.
Check the project page of your residential complex for all information about the components in your home. We highly recommend taking the time to review all the information you find there and to watch the videos. This way, you’ll learn more about the system and what to do in case of a malfunction.
There are different types of energy meters. Common brands include Kamstrup and Ista. The energy meter is often located in the meter cupboard or technical room of your home. If you are looking for more information about your energy meter, the meter's manual can be helpful. Many manuals are available online. You can find Kamstrup manuals here.
The thermostat is the property of the homeowner. In a purchased home, that is you, and in a rented property, it is the landlord.
If you want to replace the thermostat, we recommend doing so in consultation with an installer. As your energy supplier, Vaanster cannot provide advice on this matter. The thermostat affects the operation of your underfloor heating. If you are looking for more information about the thermostat, the thermostat's manual can be helpful. Many manuals are available online.
An indoor installation is the part of the system that is installed inside your home. The indoor installation is not owned by Vaanster but by the owner of the property. In the case of a rental property, the landlord is the owner of the installation.
The ownership boundary indicates who is responsible for what. You can find this on your project page on our website. There, you’ll find an image showing the ownership boundary, making it easy to see which parts belong to Vaanster and which parts belong to the property owner.
A distribution system is the system that delivers energy, either heating or cooling, to the home. Underfloor heating is the most common distribution system in the apartment complexes managed and operated by Vaanster. Another example of a distribution system is an electric radiator.
A TE-booster is a hot water controller that heats tap water. The warm water entering the home through the pipes is approximately 50 degrees Celsius. The TE-booster can further heat this water to around 75 degrees Celsius.
The water is continuously thermally disinfected by the TE-booster. A TE-booster is used in homes connected to an EQw energy system. The TE-booster is owned by Vaanster and is also maintained by Vaanster.
Most thermostats allow you to set a program. This has the advantage of automatically managing the temperature according to the program settings once they are configured.
For (floor) heating systems that operate with low-temperature heat, it is advised to keep the temperature as constant as possible. Low-temperature heating systems require time and significant energy to reach the desired temperature. Using a program on the thermostat helps limit frequent temperature changes.
A heat distribution unit is a component of the energy system in your home that includes at least one heat exchanger. In the distribution unit, the energy transfer occurs between the central system and the installation in your home.
