Disruption in heat supply
There may be a disruption in the heat supply. This is unfortunate, and of course, you want it resolved as quickly as possible.
If your home receives no heating or cooling at all, it could be a collective issue, call 0900 822 678 37.
If the neighbors are receiving heating but you are not, it's a malfunction in the internal system. Contact your home owner or an installer.
Disruption in heat supply
First, the cause of the disruption needs to be identified so that it becomes clear who can fix the issue. The ownership boundary indicates who is responsible for the various components. You can find this on your resident page.
Disruption in the entire home or part of the home
It is important to determine whether the heat supply disruption affects all the rooms in your home or only part of the home.
If the disruption affects only part of the home, heat is being supplied but is not being distributed to all rooms. This indicates an issue with the internal installation within the home. This could be a problem with, for example, the (room) thermostat, the controller, a motorized valve, or a part of the floor distributor. If you own the home, consult an installer. If you rent the home, contact your landlord.
Is the entire home not getting warm?
- First, check if the thermostat is set correctly. To do this, you can temporarily set the desired temperature higher on the thermostat. Ensure that the thermostat is set to a higher desired temperature than the current temperature. This allows you to check after some time whether the home is getting warmer.
- You can also check if the batteries in the thermostat need to be replaced. The thermostat will indicate when the batteries need to be changed.
Similar issue with your neighbors?
If your home isn’t getting warmer, the last check you can perform is to see if your neighbors are experiencing a similar issue. This would indicate a collective disruption. This information is crucial for quickly and effectively resolving the issue.
Do your neighbors have heating?
If so, there is no collective disruption. In this case, Vaanster cannot resolve the issue. Instead, contact an installation technician. The homeowners' association (VVE) may be able to assist. If it is a rental property, you can report the issue to the rental company.
Report the disruption to Vaanster if it is a collective issue
If it is a collective disruption, report it to Vaanster at the following phone number: 0900 - 822 678 37. This phone number is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
If your phone number cannot reach a 0900 number, call: 030 - 225 56 40.
You will be asked to perform the above checks over the phone, so reporting the issue will be quicker if you indicate that you have already done so. Vaanster will arrange for a technician to visit and identify and resolve the cause of the disruption.
