Malfunction in cold supply

Malfunction in cold supply

There may be a malfunction in the cooling supply. This is inconvenient, and of course, you want it resolved as quickly as possible.

First, the cause of the malfunction needs to be identified so it's clear who can fix it. The ownership boundary indicates who is responsible for the various components. You can find this on your resident page.

Malfunction in the entire home or in part of the home

It’s important to determine whether the malfunction affects all rooms in your home or just part of it.

If the malfunction occurs in only part of the home, cooling is being supplied but not distributed to all rooms. This suggests an issue with the internal system in the home, such as a problem with the (room) thermostat, the controller, a motorized valve, or a component of the floor distributor. If you own the home, consult an installer. If you are renting, contact your landlord.

No Cooling at all

  • First, check if the thermostat is set correctly. You can do this by temporarily increasing the desired temperature on the thermostat. Ensure that the thermostat is set to cooling mode. This means the desired temperature is lower than the current temperature, allowing you to check after a while if the home is getting warmer.
  • You should also check if the thermostat batteries need replacing. The thermostat will indicate when the batteries need to be replaced.

Similar issue with your neighbors?

If your home is not cooling, the final check you can do is to see if there is a similar issue with your neighbors. This could indicate a collective malfunction. This information is crucial for quickly and effectively resolving the issue.

If neighbors have cooling

If the neighbors are receiving cooling, then it’s not a collective malfunction. In this case, Vaanster cannot resolve the issue. You should contact an installer. The homeowners' association (VVE) might be able to assist. If it’s a rental property, report the malfunction to the rental company.

Report the malfunction to Vaanster if it is a collective issue

If it’s a collective issue, report it to Vaanster by calling: 0900 - 822 678 37. This number is available 24/7. If you cannot reach the 0900 number with your phone, call: 030 - 225 56 40.

You will be asked to perform the above checks over the phone, so reporting the malfunction will be faster if you indicate that you have already completed these checks.
