Here, energy will come from the water at residents' doorsteps. A Very Low Temperature (VLT) source network extracts both heating and cooling from Markermeer and the ground below. Each home features an individual heat pump connected to this shared network, enabling residents to heat and cool their spaces comfortably and sustainably at lower temperatures. This tailored energy solution makes Gouwhaven a showcase for climate-resilient living, where nature itself provides year-round comfort.
